When you marry into the life of a Funeral Director; Timothy Dawson

Marrying a Funeral Director is a little different than the usual circumstances. To say the least.

Claire Dawson knew when she married Timothy, that she was marrying into a family that had a life that a has lot of wonderful traits; care, compassion, kindness, etc. At the same time, marrying a Funeral Director means your plans might be altered regularly, as you are nearly always on call for families whose need may arise at any time of day or night. For Tim, not so unusual. The son of Steve and Tammi, grandson of Clyde and Jean, he grew up living above the funeral home and knew the nature of this life.

Tammi and Jean spent quality time with Claire to share both the wonderful and difficult aspects of being wedded to a person and being so attached to the work that defines them. As Tim shares, “She still said Yes!”

Claire and Tim and their new baby Theo now also live at Sax-Tiedemann, the 4th generation of the family to do so. With Great Grandparents and Grandparents very eager to spoil this little fella Theo, and very nearby, it’s easy to see what one of the really wonderful things is about marrying into a family dedicated to the funeral ministry. Those middle of the night feedings aren’t quite as daunting either. A Funeral Director is used to getting up in the middle of the night to render aid and comfort. That’s pretty wonderful too.
